Anxiety disorder – Yep or Nope?

Do you wake up in the morning and find it hard to get out of bed? Some days you are pumped with energy but some days you are so low that you feel like it’s over? Every single muscle in your body is tired and all you want to do is curl up and lay in bed all day long. It’s anxiety and get help for it.

People with anxiety move on with their day to day lives, doing their everyday chores, socialize but still be depressed from within. They have their trigger points and come across angry or frustrated sometimes.  But you need to understand that they are not attacking you personally. It’s just their anxiety acting up. Please do not offer advise or criticize them for their behaviour. They are struggling with it and you can help by offering them moral support and being there for them by not judging them.

People with anxiety usually do not reach out to you. They do not wish to be a burden on others and will not take the first step to reach out to someone with their problems.  Try and reach out to them. Please offer to listen, go for a walk or a cup of coffee.

The very first step towards curing anxiety is accepting that it is an illness and it is absolutely normal. When we are sick we go visit the doctor and take medications to cure ourselves. But, why is it that we cannot go see a doctor when our mind is not at its best? We always brush it off by saying its just a bad day,  I will be fine. I do not need to see a doctor for this.  I have got this under control when clearly they don’t!

Everyone is different and handle situations differently. So please do not force therapy on them.  People going through anxiety appreciate love and support. Show them you care by sending a text message or calling them to chat. We can make a huge difference in someone’s life by letting the person know that you care and will always be around.

Lets help fight anxiety one person at a time!
