13 Sep Cover Fix Review

Depending if you are a beauty expert at Mac or Sephora, every girl has at least struggled with finding the right foundation at colour one point in her life. Whether it would be too dark or too light, every girl has brought the wrong colour.

A few weeks ago, my life changed. I bought the wrong shade of foundation at Sephora, the colour was too dark with an orange undertone. My skin is a bit fairer with a yellow undertone and it was totally noticeable that my foundation was mismatched. For some reason, I kept using this foundation  (it was the only thing I had), until I used a decent amount from the bottle and felt I guilty for returning it. I needed a solution, so I retreated back to Sephora. I asked the sales associate if they could help me find a foundation that I could blend with the Naked Foundation to achieve a natural look.

The sales associate introduced me to something better. Much better. She brought Cover Fix, Foundation Fix into my life. The formula did not change the finish coverage, however, it enhances the coverage of the foundation. One drop provides medium coverage, whereas two to three drops provide full coverage. The product can be applied through an eyedropper tool where it easily can be applied and blended with foundation. Once I got home I was very excited to try it. I removed my foundation, moisturized, and then pumped my Naked Foundation onto my hand and squeezed Cover Fix right beside it. The CoverFix formula was thick and highly pigmented so I knew not to use a lot.

I blended the two with an Esteé Laudier foundation brush and applied it to my face, although I was conscious, I pumped out more of the product than I needed to. Thank god this was trial run. After nailing the amount I needed, the Cover Fix formula can really amplify a foundation’s coverage, while maintaining the satin finish the original foundation had. Overall, the product stuck true to itself and it’s like mixing paint to get the right colour!
