11 Dec The Bully

You’re ugly. You’re mean. You’re painful. You’re a bully. You have done no good to the world in all your existence. Never once have you put a smile on someone’s face. I have never met a single person that said they enjoyed your company. If I was up close to you, I wouldn’t doubt if you smelt really bad. There are way too many of you on this Earth, and as much as we try to kill you off, you keep crawling back for more. We have no reason as to why you come around or why you cling to us. There is no invitation and there never will be. There seems to be nothing that doesn’t kill you at this point, though we continue to constantly empty our wallets in hopes that research will bring us positive news. You bring sadness to many people’s lives and it’s not needed. We don’t want you here anymore. Pack up your bags, your stay here is long overdue. Maybe you can find civilization on Mars, somewhere far away from any of us. As I sit here writing this post, I think about the past and the way you hurt my mom. It was since then that I have built a strength to stand up to you and know that you are not the boss. I know that I am stronger than you, and there’s nothing stopping me from winning a battle against you.

So, Cancer, don’t forget who you are. You are not my friend. We are simple acquaintances and definitely not by choice. My mom fought you once, and she will do it again. It’s not a matter of when, but if you step foot into my life again we will always win.
