26 Mar Common fork

Nestled in the heart of downtown Winnipeg, The Forks is one of Winnipeg’s most beloved places, at the junction of the Assiniboine and mighty Red rivers. They have been a meeting place for over 6,000 years. Early Aboriginal peoples traded at The Forks, followed by European fur traders, Métis buffalo hunters, Scottish settlers, riverboat workers, railway pioneers and tens of thousands of immigrants.

Today, framed by the banks of the two rivers, The Forks is Winnipeg’s number one tourist destination with more than four million visitors annually. The Common craft beer and wine kiosk is located in the newly renovated Food Hall of The Forks Market in Winnipeg, Manitoba. They have 20 craft beer and 20 wines available by the glass or in flights that change seasonally. Their beer selection is always changing William Predhomme, who is a Canadian-based professional sommelier and beverage business development specialist, curates the craft beer and wine lists, dose his best to feature both many products from local independent suppliers. One of my favourite parts about visiting the Forks is going to fools + horses. Fools + Horses has two locations in Winnipeg, 379 Broadway and the historic Forks Market. Both locations offer a full espresso menu precision-made on the modbar, featuring Pilot Coffee and a variety of rotating feature roasters. Coffee is roasted fresh and delivered weekly. Another spot to check out is Tall Grass Prairie Bread Company, located at The Forks, is a bakery dedicated to providing an exceptional product that respects the earth, those who grow the food, those who mill, those who bake and those who buy. We are providing a bakery for people to see, smell, taste and touch the goodness of the land – real, organic wheat, milled and baked into healthy products.
