06 Sep Becoming a better person
Recently, I realized that I have been gaining a lot of weight. My posture has been getting worse and my immune system isn’t getting stronger. I guess this is what they call aging. To save myself the trouble of having to take pills every morning, I decided I’m going to adapt to a better lifestyle. I am going to invest in myself. I decided to join the gym beside my workplace. I am going to get a personal training to give me a few basic tips and making sure I use the equipment properly. I have created a diet plan and look forward to more home-cooked meals. I now run with my dog, instead of walking him. We go on bicycle rides and travel to places where we can go on hikes. I have started to read more and watch documentaries. I want to grow intellectually as well as get better physically. I have started to expand my vocabulary and have become a more curious person overall.
I have started to go to bed by a certain time and wake up early. Morning jogs have become a part of my daily routine and my dog has also started to appreciate the changes that I am making. I have bought myself a juicer, which I use to squeeze myself some fresh juice every morning. I am adding more veggies to my diet and am start to eliminate most fat foods. I look forward to the changes that I have planned and the ones I am already implementing. Throughout all this, I hope to become a better and more knowledgeable person. I am also trying to eliminate all the small talk and talk about things that really matter. I am trying to keep up with the news and the global economy. I have subscribed to he Toronto Star and have made it a habit to read at least 5 articles that interest me.
Implementing so many changes at once and aiming for a better lifestyle will not be easy. However, I am determined to make myself a better human, and am eager to see the results.
