19 Mar A “must” patio to visit: Le Select Bistro
With a front and back patio, Le Select Bistro ($$$), located at 432 Wellington Street West is great to the warm season. The patio is small and in demand. Trust me, it is worth the wait, there is space for everyone.
Has an Old World, Parisian vibe, with vintage posters lining the walls. There’s also a very romantic and more private gorgeous garden patio in the back. For the wine lovers out there, it has an awesome selection, over 1,000 bottles. A classic Parisian Bistro that cooks up favourites like entrecote steak frites and pied-de-cochon.
It is, nominated by many costumers, the perfect place for brunch. Makes you feel like you are outside the city in this little cute European town, or maybe at a smaller, home-y version of La Societe. Are you getting the picture this place yet? Decadent, buttery dishes in a French-style cafe. Highlight of the brunch are the French toast – you will be eating every and all crumbs of it – and their omelette, a creamy, buttery, and delicate French omelette with goat cheese! I love French omelettes, this was beyond perfection for me. The rosti is not so thin and less crispy than usual. Millet risotto was creamy and buttery, might be a little heavy for brunch for some people. I would recommend to share it with someone, because it is a must to try out. Lattes are “velvety”, and champagne cocktails were fun and delicious! Sounds like a great place to go for brunch with your girlfriends, isn’t it?
Because of the looks of it, you’ll find a lot of couples at night time, having a romantic dinner, and/or just a few drinks. It is located at a very quiet street, there’s not a lot of transit happening there so you can just relax and enjoy your latte, champagne, wine, cocktails, whatever your poison is.
Until next time!
