Background about the Brand
The company was founded by Mary Kay Ash, while she was a small owner of a store in Dallas, Texas. Her goals was to help women to become independent business women. She innovated many products in the beauty industry, like creams, makeup, fragrances and more. Her company is more than 50 years old and as a powerful legacy to continue her work.
Why Mary Kay?
• The products are certified by dermatologist and medical experts that tested every product with the most advanced science in laboratory.
• It’s vegan and cruelty-free
• “Clinical safety testing evaluates Mary Kay® products with consumers to determine their irritation and allergy potential. These studies are conducted to ensure product safety and to provide consumers with relevant product information, such as whether a product is “suitable for sensitive skin and sensitive eyes,” “safe for contact lens wearers” and “non-comedogenic.”
• Mary Kay is known for their great quality and service for their products as well. We have sales representative that do seminars to demonstrate our new products every year in big cities.
Target Market
Their target market would be women of 25 and more. We don’t have an age limit for our products because we specialize in every age range. Our customer has 9am to 5pm job, at an office (or something like that) and is used to routines and doing everything by the clock. On her free time she would enjoy good times with her friends or spend time with her family.
Products
The first product that I would bring for Walmart would be a 3-in-1 cleanser in 2 different models, the first for more dry skin and the second one for oilier skin types. The second product will be an age fighting moisturizer and like our cleanser there will be 2 types (dry and oily creams). Both of those products are tested by dermatologist, hypoallergenic, suitable for sensitive skin, oil- and fragrance-free, and clinically tested for skin irritation.
